Appeals & Enquiries
How appeals work and what to include so we can help you. To lodge an appeal, search for your breach notice and select “Appeal”.
We approve 100% of the appeals we receive that meet our very fair and reasonable criteria.
All appeals must be lodged through the portal. Appeals received via email, WhatsApp, or phone call will not be processed.
No penalties or fees will be added to your Parking Breach if you lodge a valid appeal.
Processing time can vary depending on the situation, so please allow up to 3 weeks. It will be processed, so there's no need to chase us for it.
Your credit history and rating will remain unaffected throughout the entire process.
If you have 'more than a few' breach notices against your number plate, these need to be sorted out. If you'd like some help with all of that, just note it in your appeal and we'll factor that in.
The Important Information
Help us to help you…
If you paid for your parking
- Please type the payment time and the time the breach notice was issued.
- Attach a receipt or proof of payment that clearly shows the date and time your payment was made. Examples include a Parki screenshot, payment-app screenshot, or bank transaction.
- If you entered an incorrect number plate (this happens a lot, so please check your app or receipt to ensure they match), let us know in the appeal and we can sort this out for you.
If you paid for your parking after the breach was issued
We're very fair with this sort of thing. If you paid within 15 minutes of the breach being issued, send us the proof of payment clearly showing the date and time of payment. If you paid after 15 minutes, this is outside the grace period and your appeal won't be accepted.
If you paid the wrong parking app or car park
Obviously, our business model wasn't based on customers paying the opposition… 😏 but we are always fair and reasonable.
Please note the brief details and send us a receipt or proof of payment that clearly shows the date, time, and recipient company of your payment.
If you have a staff or student permit but received a Parking Breach Notice
- Attach the proof of payment clearly showing the date and time of payment, as well as the registration you were paying for.
- Also attach a screenshot or photo of your permit that matches the number plate the breach was issued to.
If you are a Wellington Hospital staff member (with a permit) and received a Breach Notice for parking in the public zone
- Include the details of the situation and attach confirmation from the hospital that you were not working at the time the breach was issued. This can be a quick email from your manager or a roster screenshot.
- Also attach proof of payment that has a number plate matching the one on the breach notice.
If you are a contractor or visitor and were whitelisted at the time the breach was issued
- Briefly describe your situation and the reason you are whitelisted (e.g. you are a contractor at a university, or you were visiting for business reasons).
- Also attach evidence of the whitelisting, such as a letter from the facilities manager or an email from a site manager.
If you have a technical issue that prevented you from paying
Specific details are required, so please explain what happened. (This is a sentence that my wife uses on me, a lot… 😏)
For tech appeals, we need firm evidence such as a screenshot or video showing the issue. It must show the time and date of occurrence and be backed by a logical and reliable explanation. If the tech issue was at your end (e.g. no data, a smashed screen), the appeal will be rejected.
Again, it's all common sense, and we waive anything that meets the criteria above.
